• Jun 4, 2008: The problem with many missing Aqua MODIS granules over the Arctic continues. This started last December. It is being investigated. Aqua
• Apr 30, 2004: Due to a problem with power at GSFC, the MODIS server was off-line for a couple of hours.
• Apr 21, 2004: After a number of hardware and configuration problems, the MODIS Production Server is back up and running.
• Apr 19, 2004: There is a hardware problem with the MODIS Production Server (D.C.). No winds are being generated.
• Apr 9, 2004: Due to a computer security issue in our D.C. office, the NESDIS MODIS winds are not being generated. CIMSS winds production is unaffected.
• Jan 2, 2004: Terra MODIS acquisition appears to be back to normal.

• Jun 1, 2008: There is a problem with the direct broadcast system on the Terra satellite. NASA is investigating. It may be 2-3 weeks before the problem is resolved.
• May 30, 2008: The X-band system at McMurdo is not functioning. It appears that replacement parts cannot be delivered until September.

• Jun 2008: Processing is nominal.
• Oct 21, 2002: Winds are being generated daily.
• Oct 13, 2002: Due to a server disk failure on Oct. 2, winds are not being generated.
• Sep 26, 2002: No winds were generated for 9/21-25 due to a system problem.

• Jun 2008: Processing is nominal.
• Jul 16, 2003: Missing data over the Arctic has been a problem since May. As it turns out, the problem arose when NESDIS changed how AVHRR channels 3A and 3B were switched on NOAA-16. Channel 3B is now operating continuously. The problem with the retrievals is resolved.
• Nov 25, 2002: Back to normal.
• Nov 24, 2002: GAC data are not available. The data providers have been notified.
• Sep 26, 2002: A system problem precluded making retrievals for 9/24-26.

• Jun 2008: Processing is nominal.
• Jul 17, 2003: The missing web plots problem has been resolved, but there is a problem with the cloud mask that comes with the MODIS data. It is being investigated by the MODIS cloud mask group. The problem primarily affects Antarctica.
• Jul 14, 2003: Something has been wrong with the processing for a while, with coverage incomplete and plots missing. The problem is being investigated.
• Dec 13, 2002: The data server is back online, but it will take awhile to catch up.
• Dec 12, 2002: Can't get MODIS data from server. The problem is being investigated.
• Dec 1, 2002: Processing is nominal.
